Before You Reach Out

What to Expect

Most people have questions before they contact a therapist. Here are the ones we hear most.

What happens after I reach out?

We respond within one business day, usually sooner. You'll get a brief reply to schedule your free 15-minute consult. That conversation is casual, not clinical: it's about whether we're a good fit and what kind of work makes sense for you.

What is the first full session like?

Not a checklist. The first session is about mapping your story: your history, your patterns, and what you're actually carrying. We build from there, not from a form. Most people leave feeling heard rather than evaluated.

How long does therapy take?

It varies. Some clients do weekly sessions for several months and step down gradually. Others come for a focused block of work, six to twelve sessions around a specific pattern or transition, and that's enough. We figure out what fits during the consult and revisit it as the work unfolds.

What if I'm not sure I'm ready?

That's exactly what the free consult is for. You don't need to have it figured out, have a diagnosis, or be in crisis. Reaching out is the first step. We can sort the rest out together.

Do you work with urgent situations?

Yes. If you're in a difficult moment and need to be seen sooner than the usual intake timeline, say so in your message and we'll do our best to accommodate you. For immediate crisis support, call or text 988.
